At Carolina Safety Supply, our mission is simple: to equip, support, and protect the men and women who serve on the front lines of public safety. We are a trusted partner to law enforcement agencies, first responders, and emergency professionals across North Carolina and beyond, delivering reliable public safety solutions with integrity, expertise, and a personal touch.
Founded and rooted in Eastern North Carolina, our team brings decades of real-world experience in public safety and sales. From retired law enforcement leadership—including 30-year veteran Chief Sauls (Ret.)—to seasoned sales professionals like Josh Brooks, we understand the unique challenges faced by the agencies and individuals we serve. This deep, hands-on perspective shapes how we source and recommend products, from soft and hard armor to duty gear and tactical equipment.

Chief Sauls (Ret.)
Ted is a 30-year law enforcement veteran who retired from the Greenville, North Carolina Police Department in April 2025. A native of Greene County, North Carolina, he is a graduate of East Carolina University and a member of the 241st Session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico.
Ted has served as a Sales Representative for Carolina Safety Supply since the company’s inception, where he is responsible for sales throughout Eastern North Carolina and for sales team development.
Ted's extensive law enforcement background—including patrol, investigative, and tactical assignments—provides him with a practical, real-world perspective when advising customers on soft armor, hard armor, duty gear, and tactical body armor.
Josh Brooks
Josh is an Outside Sales Representative for Carolina Safety Supply, serving customers across the state of North Carolina. A native of Raleigh, North Carolina, he is a graduate of North Carolina State University. After earning a degree in Agricultural Business Management in 2013, Josh began his career in the agribusiness sector in Eastern North Carolina.
His passion for public safety and desire to serve those who protect their communities led him to a career supporting the men and women of public safety. Josh brings a unique perspective to sales and is known as a consummate customer service professional, dedicated to building strong relationships and delivering dependable solutions.
Ileana Reyes
Ileana serves as Executive Administrative Assistant at Carolina Safety Supply, where she supports daily operations and internal processes essential to the company’s success. Her responsibilities include managing purchase orders, invoicing, and vendor documentation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across the organization.
Working closely with the team, Ileana helps keep operations organized and aligned. She is known for her strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to excellence, taking pride in being a dependable resource for both internal teams and external partners.
